Common Questions

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is needed! STATVet is a walk-in facility that triages patients upon arrival. This means we see the sickest and most critical pets first. Stable pets are seen in order of arrival thereafter.

Is my pet experiencing a medical emergency?

If you’re concerned, we’re always happy to see your pet at STATVet Animal Urgent Care. If you’re unsure whether your concerns warrant a visit, please call us at (918) 398-0838 and ask if your pet needs urgent care!

What are the warning signs of a medical emergency in pets?

You know your pet better than anyone else. Any deviation from their usual behavior can signal a potential health issue. If your pet is not eating, vomiting, has blood in their stool, is struggling to walk, experiencing difficulty breathing, or having trouble urinating, it’s crucial to seek veterinary care immediately. Recognizing these warning signs early can make a significant difference in their health and well-being.

What if my pet is too sick or injured for STATVet?

Sometimes the veterinarian may identify a serious condition in your pet and may feel critical care or overnight hospitalization is best. In this case, STATVet will perform initial diagnostics such as bloodwork or X-rays in addition to initial stabilization like IV fluids, pain control, or anti-nausea medication. STATVet will contact a 24-hour hospital of your choice, speak with a veterinarian about your pet’s case, and provide complete medical records to facilitate a smooth transfer of your pet’s care. You will be responsible for transporting your pet to the next facility.

What payment methods do you accept?

STATVet Animal Urgent Care offers flexible payment options, including major credit cards, Apple Pay, CareCredit, Scratch Pay, and All Pet Card. We also work with major pet insurance companies to expedite reimbursement. Please note that we do not accept checks.

Do you accept insurance?
Health insurance for pets works differently than human medical insurance. You will pay for your pet’s care at STATVet as usual, and then submit invoices for reimbursement to your insurance carrier. STATVet is happy to provide medical records for your pet’s visit to facilitate reimbursement.
Can I split the cost into a payment plan?

We offer several third-party payment options including Care Credit, Scratchpay, and All Pet. Our experienced team can help you apply in the office during your visit. Third-party payment options can be very helpful in ensuring your pet gets the care they need even when veterinary expenses are unexpected.

What if I cannot afford treatment?
At STATVet, we promise to do our best to work within your budget. If you have specific financial requirements, please be open and honest so we can best find a plan that will work for you.
